ElastikWrap Heavy Elastic Tape

ElastikWrap Tape is a heavy but soft cotton elastic tape that provides superior adhesive and tensile strength to either  StretchLight Tape or the Porous Zinc Oxide Tape.

Use this cloth tape for muscle injuries in parts of the body that are difficult to tape using those products. Its elastic properties will help it to properly conform to highly contoured body parts such as the knee or elbow. It is fully equivalent to other strong adhesive tapes on the market such as Mueller Stretch M tape.

ElastikWrap Rolls  are made from high twist cotton and are equipped with soft feathered edges. These edges of this heavy tape help to prevent rolling up when you pull athletic shorts or pants over a taped area. In addition, the rolls feature a red centre line to facilitate consistent and accurate taping.

Unlike Johnson & Johnson Elastikon, this is a latex free elastic tape, which eliminates concerns from those with sensitive skin or latex allergies.

ElastikWrap also has constant unwind tension as you remove it from the roll. However, to detach a section of ElastikWrap from the roll, you may need to use scissors.

ElastikWrap Applications

ElastikWrap is a great choice for providing support and reducing range of motion of injured joints and soft tissues. By reducing their range of movement, this heavy elastic athletic tape will allow injured tissues and limbs a chance to recover.

ElastikWrap will also help athletes to proactively reduce the risk of injury during competition and/or training. Joints like the ankles or knees that may be overworked as the result of excessive demands of athletic activity will benefit from the additional support they will get from this athletic tape.

This is also a great choice of  tape to use on limbs and joints that the athlete may use for powerful movements during a game or training session (the shoulders or knees, for example).

While a regular tape may start to come loose in the middle of the session and may need to be reapplied, this is less likely to happen with a durable & high tensile heavy elastic tape such as ElastikWrap.

As a result, the athlete can spend more time in training and less time being re-taped on the side of the field.

ElastikWrap Tape also comes in useful for keeping bandages securely in place, particularly in irregular areas or when therapeutic compression is also needed. Use the tape as a bandage to manage effusion and swelling near an injury.

Other Features

The porous structure will enhance wearing comfort by allowing moisture to migrate through the bandage. As a result, it evaporates on the outside of the bandage, leaving your skin dry and comfortable.

ElastikWrap Tape is 100% latex free. This  tape is ideal if you have sensitive skin or have experienced latex allergies previously.

Using ElastikWrap

Before applying this tape, we suggest taking the following preparatory steps:

• Clean and dry the athlete’s skin in the area to which you intend applying the tape;
• Ensure that the skin is free of oils, perspirations, lotions and even dirt or grass. These will all tend to reduce the adhesive properties of the tape and, with it, the support it can give to injured joints or soft tissues;
• Remove any body hair from the area. If necessary shave body hair to achieve optimal adhesive performance.
